Today’s post, I wanted to touch on a type of training that not only do I use for myself but I also use in my personal training. Plyometrics (also known as jump training) is a form of exercise that is used with Olympic athletes and has quickly caught on as a very effective way to increase muscular strength and explosiveness. In addition to it’s conditioning benefits, plyometrics have the ability to reduce the force of impact on the joints by strengthening the muscles around them(1). Give this workout a try and be sure to incorporate some plyometrics in your workout routines!
Warmup with a 15 minute jog, 10 regular squats and 10 regular pushups.
(Repeat routine 3 times)

Love plyometrics and HIIT… they’re killer, but they get you into killer shape!
Hi, I did this outside yesterday and used a tree for the push-ups. Felt great although I am a little achy in spots today. Not bad for a 60 year old.
Thanks for the incentive to try something different.
Love
