I have just arrived home after a very spontaneous trip to one of my favourite places in Canada…Calgary, Alberta. While pursing my University in Calgary, I met a very special life-long friend, Michelle. As one of a few people who inspired the creation of The Nude Mushroom, Michelle has been an incredible friend to me over the last 12 years. She has recently had her first baby, Charlotte and being such an important person in my life, it made me sad I couldn’t be there when she was born. I made a promise to myself I would make it out to visit her but didn’t tell her about my intentions and instead surprised her with a bouquet of flowers on her doorstep.
After a couple of months of plotting with her husband Jesse, we came up with the perfect plan and he caught it all on video!! I thought I would share this video with you and maybe inspire each of you to do something nice for someone special in your life or even a stranger.
Have you ever had someone in a drive through pay for your order unexpectedly and then drive off? It is one of those acts of kindness that can make your day and inspire you to do the same, the “Pay It Forward” effect. When you practice the act of kindness and giving, it evokes emotions within you that cannot be replicated in any other way. I urge you to give it a try and tell me about your experience.
